World Health Organization Long COVID Rehabilitation Guidelines

The World Health Organization (WHO) published their updated “Clinical Management of COVID-19: Living Guideline” on 15th September 2022. This updated (fifth) version contains 16 new recommendations for the rehabilitation of adults living with Long COVID or Post COVID-19 Condition (see Chapter 24).

The latest version of this living guideline is available in PDF format and via an online platform, and is updated regularly as new evidence emerges.

Sections of interest include red flags for safe rehabilitation, post-exertional symptom exacerbation, cognitive impairment, fatigue, orthostatic intolerance, and return to everyday activities and work.

Long COVID Physio Executive Board members Darren Brown and Dr Simon Décary were invited experts to the Guideline Development Group, and Prof Todd Davenport was an invited expert for external peer review of the guideline.
